WHAT IS YOUR NEW CLIENT PROCEDURE?

Please get in touch so we can ensure your needs can be met and to book a consultation. If you have been referred directly by your Ear Nose and Throat specialist, I will contact you on the details given.


DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GP?

No. You can self refer to our service. However, an initial consultation with another specialist such as an Ear Nose and Throat and/or respiratory physician may be required prior to commencing treatment with us in order to best meet your needs. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this further.


WHAT DO I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Please complete and return any questionnaires which have be sent to you prior to our session.


WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Please bring a list of your medications and any medical records which are pertinent to your presenting symptoms e.g. copy of reports from ENT. You may also like to bring along a notepad and pen to make notes during our session.


HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT?

Payment is accepted via bank transfer. You will be invoiced following each session and full payment should be made within 2seven days of receipt of this.


CAN YOU PROVIDE ME WITH A LETTER TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY?

Yes. This service is free following an initial assessment. We will provide your insurer with a letter explaining your symptoms, the medical necessity of treatment and estimated cost of treatment. Other details can be added to this letter if requested by your insurer.


DO YOU OFFER SERVICES FOR SPEECH AND LANGUAGE DISORDERS SUCH AS DIFFICULTY FINDING THE WORDS (APHASIA) OR SLURRED SPEECH (DYSARTHRIA)?

I am not currently offering this. Your needs may be met via the public health service (contact your local DHB) or other private Speech Language Therapists. We strongly recommend the public seeking a speech-language therapist ONLY engage in an agreement with a speech-language therapist who is a registered member with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA).
